Remember last Thursday when I said I needed to find an outfit at the Banana Republic “After 5” Event for a wedding? Well, I was so glad I did. I didn’t end up buying a dress which I thought I would, but I opted for a pair of taper pants from the BR Monogram Collection instead (which has been so hot on the market lately.) I’ve been wanting to give this look a try, and since this pair of pants was on the dressier side I thought it was perfect for the occasion.
I loved all the pleating and details at the waistline, but what I loved even more was the length. It hit just right at my ankles and fitted me perfectly. It’s rare for me to find pants that fits and not have to worry about alterations because of my 5’1 frame. And surprisingly, these were not in petite sizes either. I felt so comfortable in it that I knew I could totally boogie down wearing them at the party.
For this outfit, I paired the pants with a see-through shirt and camisole from H&M, jewelry from Kate Spade, H&M and vintage from Painted Bird, watch from Folli Follie, oversize clutch from American Apparel, shoes from BCBG Max Azria.
I also posted some camera phone pics from the BR After 5 party on my Facebook page. I had so much fun that night and was so great to see/meet some of these amazing bloggers at the event. It’s truly inspiring following their blogs and it’s really where I pick up all of my fashion tips & trends (more so than any fashion magazines out there!)
