For Japan With Love

In respect for the unfortunate event in Japan and For Japan With Love, a project by Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged, I will not be making a post tomorrow on Friday. Please join me for a day of silence and make your donation to the disaster relief fund where they provide emergency supplies and shelters for those who are in need.

It has been more than heart broken for me to see the images from Japan. I cannot even begin to imagine if this happened in San Francisco. For those of us who lives in the Bay Area, we very well know that this could be us…

It literally saddens me to see the young and the elderly going through this. It is unfortunate, yet also a reality.  So I hope this event is serving us all a reminder to be prepared. I strongly urge all of you to visit 72hours.org, it is a great online resource to help you make a plan and build a kit in the case of a disaster. I’ve learned of this program a while back and had put it aside. I think it is time I take a closer look and make some emergency plans with my family.

I want to thank you again to Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged for putting this wonderful project together. It has been a struggle for me the past week to be happily blogging away about shopping while knowing that there is a tragedy happening on the other side of the world. So, I’m glad I’m able to take part in this and get involved. I hope you will too. :)

See you back next week.
