Hi friends! How is your summer going? Any upcoming travel plans?
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco for a little staycation.
Wait, don’t you live in SF, you ask.
Yes, I do, but who can say no to staying at a gorgeous hotel and pretending to be a tourist?
They invited Hayden, Hadley, my husband and I to experience all the hotel has to offer. Even though I visit The Palace occasionally for their tea service at their stunning Garden Court (it’s a must!), it’s a completely different experience as a hotel guest. Not only is the hotel full of history and beautiful architectural details (fyi, they offer history tour for guests), but it also makes you feel like you’ve traveled far away from the city. If this SF local says it’s a gem, then trust me, you should visit.
If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you probably saw quite a bit from my weekend already. But in case you missed it, check out some of my favorite highlights!
Beautiful tall window in the room over-looking the bustling streets of SF downtown. The hotel is also located just a few blocks away from the newly re-opened SFMOMA.
Feeling nothing but luxurious in our hotel rooms. The Palace accommodated us with connecting rooms with double queens and a king-sized beds. My girls were definitely spoiled to each have their own beds. My husband jokingly said that this is probably what we’ll have to do in the future, booking 2 rooms. Oh boy.
Hayden and Hadley hanging out at the stunning Garden Court.
And did I tell you that Hayden and Hadely LOVE in-room dining? I am not even kidding.
We also spent half an afternoon in this skylit indoor pool surrounded by the SF downtown view and visited the iconic Ghirardelli ice-cream and chocolate shop for a delicious mint and chocolate chip fudge sundae!
We were welcomed with personalized cupcakes, fruit and cheese platters, and champagne upon our arrival. Such a warm gesture!
Hayden and Hadley also took a kids sushi making class. And yes, I ate their work-of-art for lunch. :)
It was also Father’s Day weekend so we celebrated the special day at the hotel bar-restaurant Piep Piper with burgers, oysters, and a few old-fashioned cocktails. George also sported his new Superga sneakers. Their limited edition Panatta which launched at at French Open two weeks ago and are now available in the SF store on Fillmore street, a great shopping destination in the city!
There are some really amazing classical architecture in SF if you look!
I don’t think this kid wants to leave.
Thank you so very much to The Palace Hotel for the warm and generous hospitality! We hope to come back soon!
