What I’m Wearing This Summer…

chico1 When it comes to the summer, I’m all about easy-to-wear pieces “and” easy-to-wear colors. White and blue seem to be working out for me perfectly this season. And thanks to Chico’s, they’ve introduced me to some great summer pieces that can be easily mixed into my current wardrobe.

The classic summer top year after year, undoubtedly, is the white tank. It goes with everything! I love this Shimmer Trim Ele Tank because it’s relaxed and blousy yet still maintains a great shape. This top is the best way to achieve the “effortless chic” on a hot summer day, even when you’re just wearing white jeans and sandals. Here are more similar styles you can shop in their boutiques or online.  For accessories, I also like to keep it very simple. A statement bangle like the Yvonne Cuff (currently part of Chico’s Jewelry BOGO) I’m wearing here does all the trick.

To add color and pattern, a printed blouse like the Dueling Diamonds Darcy Top is great! This piece is semi-sheer so it’s very comfy and breezy and perfect for layering. I wore this piece tucked in with pointed heels for a more professional look. It’s perfect when I needed to go to a lunch meeting or to attend an event. However, when you wear this piece untucked, it gives a whole new, relaxed look, and it literally makes me dream of the Bahamas!

I’m not sure if I’ve ever told you that I love moto jackets! I love the edginess it brings and wearing an outerwear really brings an outfit together. So it’s been a bummer that I can’t wear my leather moto jacket as much.

When I saw Chico’s Black Label Moto Jacket with the gold zipper detail, I knew I had to give this one a try! The white mesh is what makes this piece so summer perfect! It’s thin and light and can be layered over tanks and sleeveless pieces. Here, I wore it with a linen chambray dress and gold belt. Again, I paired with the Yvonne Cuff and pointed-toe heels, and here I am, ready for a fun night out or awesome outdoor party!

What do you think of my new Chico’s pieces?
