It’s About To Happen…

Hi friends, this will be my very last post before I head into the delivery room. Yup, it’s happening today! So while you’re reading this, I am either packing my hospital bag, on my way to the hospital, in the delivery room, OR I already had my baby! So nuts!

I thought today would be the perfect day to share my maternity shoot with you. Initially, I wasn’t planning on doing one. But then again, I do not plan on being pregnant again so I thought I should really remember this moment before I regret it forever! I wanted to send a “huge” thank you to all of you for supporting and following me all throughout this pregnancy. There were some difficult preggo moments but overall it was an easy ride, and really, this blog had kept me sane and made this past 9 months went by really fast.

I know most of you are wondering about what’s gonna happen to my blog? Well, I could have scheduled guest posts, asked for contributors, or planned my blog posts in advance. But the truth is, I don’t even want to think about uploading posts or scheduling it. I just wanted this time to be focused on my family, making sure it will be as stress-free as it can be, and that it will be a smooth transition from a family of 3 to a family of 4. With that said, I plan to take 6-8 weeks maternity leave from blogging. BUT… I don’t think I will completely disappear on this space. When I do blog, it will probably be much more sporadic and more like personal updates. I’m hoping that I will return to my regular posting schedule by March 1. (we’ll see… that’s the best part of being your own boss. :)

I also wanted to use this post to “pat myself on the back” for reaching my second year of blogging. Yes, this month marks my “2 year blog-o-versary”. It has been a fruitful year for me and I’ve continued to learn so much about blogging and the social media space.

One thing I’m really grateful for this past year was the opportunity to partner with a couple of start-up brands as well as established ones. One of my proudest collaborations is with the Target Inner Circle. I’m not saying this because I love the store and because I can never walk out of there without checking out at their counters, but because I really do admire the brand’s effort to stay ahead of the game and to be the best in the retail market. It had really opened up my horizon, especially with the way they constantly re-innovate, trying new ideas, and involving themselves in many different areas. Yet, they do it all so well! It almost felt like I landed the perfect internship I never had before, except I also get spoiled by them like crazy!! Remember me celebrating at this party? Being on this trip? Connecting with this designer? And as of late, throwing me this baby shower and lavishing me with all these gifts. I really cannot be more thankful! They even helped me got ready for this shoot – that silk robe, that faux fur blanket, those pretty decor next to my bedside had made this shoot so dreamy! All with the efforts of the talented Michelle Drewes for shooting me here and my lovely Christmas family photos.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around on what I learned in my second year. I know there are a few key takeaways I definitely want to share with you – just like how I did with my first year. So if you’re interested, be on the lookout for that. I may or may not have time to put it together while handling a tyke and a newborn, but it’s something I’m passionate about sharing with you.

Alright friends, I may not be around on the blog as much, but you bet I’ll be keeping myself social on Instagram, TwitterFacebook and Pinterest! (If this happens to be your first time here, feel free to roam around my blog, follow me, or message me as I’m always up for making new friends! And if you’re into shopping that sort of things, check out my sweet picks or my recommendations on Luvocracy!)

Have a happy Friday, everyone! I know it will be a memorable one for me. :) xo Jeanne
