What a surprising news this morning when I got a tweet from Dree that I was featured on a Refinery29’s write-up on “Pinterest Power Players: Who You Need To Follow”. I can’t even tell you how honored and excited I am to be on this list!!! I LOVE Pinterest from the very beginning, and I still remember my husband getting mad at me for pinning for a good 48 hours when I first signed up an account! It was seriously the most addicting thing ever, and still is!

I also had the pleasure of hearing Ben Silbermann, Pinterest’s co-founder, speak at the Alt Design Summit about his vision. The mission of Pinterest is “not to keep you online, but rather, to inspire you to do the things you love offline.” While this sounded ironic, I absolutely found this to be true. I have pinned from diy projects to design inspirations to recipes, and it had really inspired me to do the things I normally wouldn’t do in real life. By the way, Ben showed us Pinterest’s first pin back in Jan. 2010 – so inspiring!

I know Pinterest has became so huge lately that I’m sure most of you have an account already. But if you don’t, send me your email and I’ll send you an invite to sign up. And yes, don’t forget to check out the rest of the Power Players on Refinery29, there are some really good tastemakers there!

Last but not least, a BIG shout out to Dree for including me in this list! I really wasn’t expecting this, and it was so wonderful that she had found my pin boards to be inspiring and well-curated! Thank you so much, Dree, you truly made my day!!! Big hugs & XO from SF!
