If there is one thing for sure, I am never, ever on social media in the morning.
Because my mornings are chaotic and never pretty. The moment I wake up, I attend to my two little nuggets, Hayden and Hadley. I dress them, I feed them breakfast, and I rush them to school (while doing none of the first two myself.) My home is often a mess dominated by their toys. There are probably more Barbie Dream Houses around my home than walking spaces, and I can hardly get around without stepping on their Legos. ouch!
Yes, I hate to break the news to you but that breakfast-in-bed you see on my Instagram (if I ever did one) is probably all a fantasy, or something that happens once in a blue moon.
I think when things get chaotic in life, the first thing to go is my diet. If I have a moment to sit down, sure I’ll make myself an avocado toast. But that is rarely my morning. I eat breakfast or lunch at different times and when I get too busy juggling work and kids, I tend to skip meals altogether. I know it’s bad. And I know I need to take better care of my body because as I am headed into my late 30s staying healthy and balanced should be a priority.
That’s why I’m partnering with Organic Valley to try their new protein shake, Organic Balance, which helps provide the necessary nutrients that I’ve been missing all these mornings. And I’m so glad they reached out because I certainly needed an intervention to get my priorities back on track.
Since I’m always on the go, Organic Balance has been a great alternative for me when I needed a quick breakfast or light meal in between work, family, meetings and social events. I can drink it while I quickly get ready for a meeting, or I can slip one in my bag as I am headed out the door.
I also wanted to share this video with you, Real Morning Report, as I think it is SO funny, SO TRUE, and probably resonates with so many of us. Just thought I would share a good laugh, but more importantly, don’t forget to take care of yourself no matter how chaotic your morning gets! xo Jeanne
