I spotted these images on Yatzer featuring a recently opened Italian restaurant in Athens and I was in awe! The design is so crisp and clean, and I love how this modern space is set up to be as if you are dining at your friend’s apartment. Who doesn’t enjoy that cozy and homey feeling, right?
I especially admire the black trimming on the doorways and the different mixture of the twig wooden chairs. The texture on those wall pieces are so interesting; it certainly adds that bit of a warmth to the space which otherwise would be lacking. It’s surprising to me how raw this place can look, yet so inviting… which I bet is the wonderful lighting that did the trick.
I know this is a teaser since you would have to fly to Greece for this. But the interiors captivated me so much that I thought it would be worth sharing :) Though if you are ever planning to visit Athens, or are thinking about it now like I am :), you can find this hip little joint in Psirri, an up-and-coming district sometimes referred to as the Soho of Athens. It is also located in a neoclassical building with views of the Acropolis ~ now, tell me how dreamy is that!
If you know of a place that is parallel to this in San Francisco, please let me know!
