Mixing Asian Prints

I love Asian prints, but I also know that it can appear a little “grandma-ish” if it’s not done right. So, how do you mix this element into your home without looking stuffy and old?  Well, here is just the perfect example from interior designer Caitlin Wilson.

I really admire the way Caitlin mixes the vibrant colors with the white furnishings, her uses of organic patterns with the geographic patterns… and I love how she uses chevron stripes to fill up that wall! I happen to have a large wall in my living room too and I haven’t been able to figure out what to do with it, so I’m definitely going to put this in my design file for inspiration.

I love visiting Caitlin’s blog Style Files because her design ideas are very approachable and achievable. She shares a lot of her tricks of the trade, and best of all, her secret styles for less! Who wouldn’t love that?!

She currently resides in Hong Kong (one of my favorite places on earth!! because that’s where I’m from) and a mother to a very adorable baby. To see the rest of her lovely house tour, you can check it out here. I hope this will give you some inspiration to mixing some of your favorite Asian prints at home too!
