Even before I had kids, I dreamt of dressing up for the holidays with my family and going to watch The Nutcracker at the SF Ballet. Believe it or not, I’ve never been to it myself, so it has definitely been on my wish list for a while. And this year, the year of 2015, I am finally able to make this a new holiday tradition. I am beyond excited! It’s like a little dream come true for me. :)
To make sure the girls were all set for this special occasion, I picked out some really darling holiday outfits and accessories from The Children’s Place. They carry a lot of everyday essentials for children, but I was pleased to find that they also have a lot of festive holiday wear as well, including dresses, fancy skirts, headbands, shoes and more! It was so convenient to find everything I needed to dress both of the girls – from head to toe – in one store.
We were dazzled by the bright white and sparkly options! Hayden loves her sleeveless sequin tutu dress. Since she loves ballerinas and twirling like one, this dress was pretty much made for her. And for Hadley, I still get the pleasure of dressing her (although this is probably the last year before she starts to form her own little opinions.) I’m definitely that mom who is always worried about keeping her child warm so I found a long sleeve shimmer dress with peter pan collar that fits her perfectly. They both picked out their own headpieces and accessories. There are so many options to choose from – so they had fun in the store choosing jewelry and headbands that matched their dresses. Once I put the whole outfit on them, they were like the happiest kids on earth! You can shop The Children’s Place styles they’re wearing on my Pinterest board .
As for me, I’m pretty stoked about making our first Nutcracker experience a lasting family memory.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
