Holiday Cheers No. 2 | Kahlúa Iced Russian

Hello friends, greetings from Tokyo! While I’m still on my last days of my trip, I wanted to pop in here to share with you my second Kahlúa cocktail recipe for this holiday season. Did you enjoy my first one

This time around, I’m putting a twist to a great classic. I’m turning the original White Russian into a Kahlúa Iced Russian. I think this drink is great for holiday get-togethers during the day and it is so easy to make! I mean, who would say no to coffee, right? I love the twist with the coffee ice cubes. I love how it marble-lizes the drink and how it slowly melts into it. Doesn’t the colors look so pretty and delicious? Your guests are really in for a treat!

Before I get to the recipe, just wanted to remind you that you can visit and follow hashtag #KahluaHoliday on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for endless holiday entertaining inspirations!

{RECIPE} Kahlúa Iced Russian

Ingredients: Coffee beans, Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur, half and half, ABSOLUT vanilla vodka (optional), brown sugar (optional)

// Brew coffee of your choice and let it cool. (I prefer freshly ground beans in dark roast.)

// Fill the ice tray with coffee half full and fill the other half with Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur. I would prep this overnight or at least 6 hours in advance.

// Once coffee ice cubes are ready, place 4-5 cubes in an old-fashioned tumbler. Tip: since this drink is creamy and rich, stick with a smaller or shorter glass.

// Fill the glass with half & half.

// Add .5 part ABSOLUT vanilla vodka (optional, but a great choice if you want to add a kick.)

// Add light brown sugar (depending on desired sweetness.)
