That’s it, I’m declaring Sundays are for wine dates! George and I had a really relaxing date recently. We took 2 hours off from the kids on a Sunday afternoon and went to enjoy some delicious wine and tapas at Wine Kitchen. It may not sound like a big date, but sometimes that’s all it takes to make my weekend feel complete.
We both love wine tasting, so when I saw that HowAboutWe for Couples had a good deal on custom wine flights and tapas, I knew we had to try it. We’ve also never been to Wine Kitchen in Divis before so it was a good opportunity for both of us to try something new.
It was lovely that we went in the late afternoon before the dinner crowd came in. I felt like George and I finally had a chance to have an adult conversation. Most of the time these days, we are speaking over our kids, so it has been hard to fully engage with each other. So yes, a quiet afternoon accompanied by wine and small bites was just what we needed!
I’m thinking that George and I need to make a Sunday date like this on a regular basis, where we can both actually enjoy and catch up with each other. I love the fact that I can browse on HowAboutWe for Couples and set dates like this. Not only do I get a good deal, but it also serves as a reminder that I need to go on a date with my husband. It sounds funny, I know, but going on dates really gets put on the back burners when we’re constantly so busy with kids and life. Do you agree?
By the way, have you tried HowAboutWe for Couples yet? They are offering my readers $50 off on your first date booking.
