I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited about the opening of UNIQLO in S.F.! I first shopped at UNIQLO about 8 years ago when I was in Hong Kong and already I was in love. Then about 5 years ago when I visited the Soho Flagship store in New York, I was thinking, geez, how great would it be if we also had one in San Fran too?! Well, it’s been a long time coming and we are finally getting our very own UNIQLO Flagship this fall!

Leading up to the S.F. opening, UNIQLO opens a “tech-inspired” pop-up experience shop.  It allows shoppers like me to get a sneak peek before the actual Union Square location opens up – talk about building excitement?! And I was really lucky to have attended their Pop-Up Launch Party last Thursday to experience that myself. I was able to check out their signature product lines, meet their friendly staff, as well as experience their innovative philosophy behind their store concept. I heard there be will a spinning chandelier made with multi-screen TV monitors, a modern communal space for inspiration, and interactive events including industry discussion events and social mixers at the actual location. What a great way to strengthen the ties of the creatives in the Bay Area community!

Doesn’t all this sound so exciting? Well, ok, you don’t really have to wait for the actual store to experience this. You can keep an eye out on the UNIQLO website for a chance to register for exclusive tastemaker events and panel discussions celebrating fashion, technology, art, design, music and food at the Pop-Up. I’m sure you’ll be seeing me in some of these, and of course, shopping at the new Flagship at the near future. :)

Pop-Up Experience Launch Event included an Interactive Instagram Installation, Namu Gaji Japanese catering, a Hosted Bar and Music By Justin Martin, J-Boogie’s Dubtronic Science, Sweater Funk and King Most.
