This year marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved red sole! To celebrate, Neiman Marcus graciously hosted a private cocktail & trunk show for SF lifestyle/fashion bloggers to preview Christian Louboutin’s capsule collection. This collection includes 20 distinctive shoe styles inspired by 20 years of iconic shoe designs, and S.F. was among the ten Neiman Marcus stores that held the preview.
I did like the graffiti-themed concept behind this special collection since most of the shoes were quite edgy and costum-y. Each style seemed to be one of a kind and it sure would please a die-hard Louboutin collector. The pair that I absolutely fell in love with was the Pigalove ballet flats! (picture above) I know this particular style defeats the purpose of owning a pair of red sole because, well, people can’t quite see the red sole, but the rhinestone detail (which spells out “love” btw) already had me at love-at-first-sight! Edgy meets sweet, I like that, like a lot. :)
Unfortunately, I didn’t pick up a pair of red sole here. It would’ve cost me a month’s rent! Ironically, I did manage to pick up my very first pair of red sole with a fraction of the cost at another event I attended the very same night (go figure, right?) Will have to share that with you on another post. Stay tuned!
