Never thought I would say this but I’m cutting down on dairy!
I know, it’s a such a tough choice because I love cheese and butter and anything creamy, so it’s gonna be hard. However, I’ve been experiencing bloating and I was told that eliminating dairy (and carbs…err, that’ll have to be later) will help tremendously. So, I don’t know, I’m going to give this a try. I hope this is not just a diet for me (although dropping a few pounds wouldn’t hurt) but a lifestyle choice.
I’ve heard good things about substituting cow’s milk with nut or coconut milk. Have you tried it? I’m particular excited about substituting my ice-cream that are made of coconut milk. There are some really good options out there now on the market, but I did also happen to stumble upon this dairy-free vegan ice-cream recipe that looks as good as the real thing!
Do you have any other suggestions for me on making this transition a little… um, sweeter? If you’re cutting out on diary (or even carbs), I’d love to know what’s working for you.
