The holidays is absolutely my favorite time of the year! And for the next three months, I’m partnering with Kahlúa – you know, the classic rum and coffee liqueur – for a 6-part series to help you plan your holiday libations from start to finish. I’m simply calling this series the Holiday Cheers!

I’m super thrilled about this series because making cocktails is something I’ve always wanted to get better at. This is a great opportunity for me to share some simple and delicious cocktails with you that we can make on a whim… without mixology lessons needed. :)

And quite honestly, the holidays has the best selections for barware, so this gives me the BEST excuse to stock up on beautiful glasses and shakers!

Of all the parties I’ve been to, the ones that made the most impression on me were when the hostess greeted me with a delicious cocktail. It makes the guests feel extra special and welcome, and it’s an etiquette that certainly makes you the hostess with the mostest!

To kick off fall and equipping ourselves to be a good hostess, I thought we can celebrate Halloween by making Pumpkin Spice Cider Cocktail using Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice. It embodies a seasonal twist of natural pumpkin and delicious autumnal spices blended with 100% Arabica coffee and sugarcane rum. Be aware, this is a crowd pleaser cocktail that is refreshing, festive, and has a friendly palette, so make LOTS!

{RECIPE} PUMPKIN CIDER COCKTAIL

Ingredients: Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice, apple cider, lemon, cinnamon (optional), mint. 

// 2 parts Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice

// Top with apple cider

// Squeeze a slice of lemon

// Add ice into shaker (or you can use a stir) and mix the drink. Found this copper shaker at a great price!

// Pour the drink into a highball glass or tumbler. I love my etched glass high tumbler and sparkle trimmed tumbler

// Add a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional, but sure adds a hint of fall.)

// Top with mint – a little bartender wisdom, make sure to spank the mint in your hands before putting it in your drink. It will open up the aroma of the herb!
